چکیده

Climate change adversely affected agriculture production and become more serious concern for developing country like India water is one of the precious costly input used in hence an experiment was conducted at Agriculture Research Station, Achalpur under Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, situated 21° 18’ North latitude 77° 30’ to 35’ East longitudes with a subtropical climate. The topography experimental plot levelled soil black colour, fairly deep, well drained clayey texture, low available nitrogen phosphorus, high potash. designed split design three replications levels irrigation as main treatments i.e. I1 – No Irrigation, I2 One Irrigation (40-45 DAS) I3 Two (20-25 60-65 four cropping treatment subplot C1 Wheat Cv. Phule Samadhan, C2 Safflower SSF 708, C3 Sorghum Suchitra C4 Gram Vikram, respectively. Application two chickpea crop recorded highest wheat equivalent grain yield 29.76 36.53 q/ha benefit: cost ratio (2.98).

Evaluation of genetic parameters in agro-physiological traits of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) under irrigated condition

Selection of genotypes based on high value of heritability and forecasted genetic conditions would be an effective method for improvement of wheat cultivars. The present investigation was carried out to estimate the genetic variability of agro-physiological characters using biometrical genetic techniques in 20 bread wheat genotypes under irrigated condition. For this purpose an experiment was c...

Nitrogen, tillage, and crop rotation effects on nitrous oxide emissions from irrigated cropping systems.

We evaluated the effects of irrigated crop management practices on nitrous oxide (N(2)O) emissions from soil. Emissions were monitored from several irrigated cropping systems receiving N fertilizer rates ranging from 0 to 246 kg N ha(-1) during the 2005 and 2006 growing seasons. Cropping systems included conventional-till (CT) continuous corn (Zea mays L.), no-till (NT) continuous corn, NT corn...
